THE JUNCTION of Hylton Road and New Road in Worcester has reopened after it was closed last week to repair a burst water pipe.
Severn Trent Water closed the slip road outside the entrance to Cripplegate Park on Friday to repair the pipe, with plans to re-open the road on Saturday.
But during the work they found a damaged electricity duct which needed to be checked so the road remained closed.
They also found a second leak.
A spokeswoman for Worcestershire County Council said in order to minimise disruption over the Christmas period they had agreed with Severn Trent that they would do an interim repair so the road could be re-opened.
A full repair has been scheduled for the new year and will take place overnight, although no date has been set yet.
